Set up your services
Services are the treatments you offer, such as a haircut, a facial or a massage. You group them, for example "Hair" and "Nails", and give each one a duration, a price and a VAT rate.
1. Create service groups
- In my.conciar.com, go to Studio → Service Groups.
- Click New Service Group, enter a Service group name and save.
A group can only be deleted when it has no services left. Move or delete its services first.
2. Create services
- Go to Studio → Services and click Create Service.
- Fill in:
- Name: the name of the treatment.
- Group: pick a group, or choose New group to create one here.
- Duration (minutes): how long the treatment takes. Bookings use this to set their end time.
- Price: what the client pays. Leave it empty for a service without a price.
- VAT / tax rule: the VAT rate for this service. See below.
- Click Create Service.
To change a service, click the edit button next to it. To remove one, click delete: clients can no longer be booked for it, but existing bookings keep it.
VAT on services
Choose a tax rule under VAT / tax rule, or leave it on Organisation default to use the rule you marked as your organisation's default.
Set a default or a rule
If a service is on Organisation default and you haven't marked any tax rule as the default, the service is charged without VAT. The field tells you when no default is set.
Products a treatment uses
Under Products used, add the products one treatment uses, such as hair dye or massage oil, and how much of each. Search your stock, or click New supply to add a product you haven't created yet.
These products are taken out of stock once per booking: when you mark the booking as completed, or when it's paid at the till, whichever comes first. Products whose stock you don't track are skipped.
Common problems
I can't delete a service group. It still has services. Move them to another group or delete them first.
A service is charged without VAT. It's on Organisation default and no tax rule is marked as the default. Choose a tax rule on the service, or mark one as the default in Management → Tax Rules.
