Use the shop till
The till runs in the Conciar app on your tablet. To set up the device, staff PINs and printers first, see Set up your devices.
The till needs an internet connection for every sale. It doesn't work offline.
Ring up a sale
Open the POS tab.
- Search by product name or SKU, pick a category, or tap Scan to scan a barcode. Products without stock show Sold out.
- Change quantities with + and −. To link the sale to a customer, tap Add customer.
- Slide Slide to charge and choose Cash, Card, Scan to pay or Gift card.
Card records a payment you took on a separate card reader; the shop till doesn't connect to card terminals. To split a sale, tick the items to pay now and tap Charge selected.
A receipt prints automatically after payment if you have an order receipt printer set up. The shop till has no manual discounts, returns or loyalty.
Scan barcodes
Tap Scan to scan with the camera, or switch on Settings → Scanner → Always-on camera to keep the camera open. A USB or Bluetooth scanner works in the scan window's text field.
Count your cash drawer
A cash shift is optional. In the app, open Settings → Shift:
- Tap Open shift and enter the opening float.
- At the end of the shift, tap Close shift and enter the cash you counted.
The till shows the expected cash (float plus cash sales minus cash refunds) and whether you're over or short.
Common problems
A product shows Sold out. Its tracked stock is 0. Add stock on the product's Inventory tab.
A scanned barcode isn't found. Check that the product has that barcode or SKU filled in.
