Move your data to Conciar
The import wizard copies your data from your old system into Conciar once. It doesn't keep the two systems in sync afterwards.
What you can import
What you see depends on the business types on your plan.
| Data | Business type | Ends up in Conciar as |
|---|---|---|
| Customers | Every business | Your customer list. Customers need an email address. |
| Menu | Restaurant | Dishes in a new menu called "Imported menu", grouped by the categories in your file. |
| Reservations | Restaurant | Reservations without a table. Assign tables yourself. |
| Products | Store, Rental | Products with price, SKU, barcode and category. |
| Bookings | Hotel, Rental | Bookings with a start and end date, without a room or item linked. |
| Appointments | Studio, Professional | Appointments in the agenda, without a team member or service linked. The service name becomes the title. |
Gift cards have their own import. See Gift cards.
Import from a CSV file
You can import from many systems, such as Zenchef, Lightspeed, OpenTable, TheFork, Shopify, Fresha, Treatwell, Mindbody, Calendly, Square and Mews. If yours isn't in the list, choose Other platform / CSV template.
- In my.conciar.com, go to Settings → Import / move to Conciar.
- Choose the system you're coming from. Use Search platforms… to find it.
- If asked, choose Upload a CSV file.
- Choose what's in the file, for example customers or the menu.
- Follow the steps to export the file from your old system, then click I've exported the file →. With Other platform / CSV template, click ↓ Download example.csv to see which columns to use, then click My CSV is ready →.
- Drop your CSV file on the page, or click to choose it.
- Check the columns. Conciar matches them automatically. Change a match where needed, or choose — not imported — to skip a column. Fields with * must be matched.
- Click Review rows →. You see every row and can change any cell.
- Click Import N rows, where N is the number of rows.
Each row then shows ✓ Processed, or ✕ with the reason it was skipped, for example a missing email address. Fix those rows in the grid and click Re-import. To import another file, click Import something else →.
The file can be separated by commas or semicolons. Excel files don't work: save them as CSV first.
Import from your webshop
From Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Shopware you can import customers and products straight from your shop, without a file.
- Go to Settings → Import / move to Conciar and choose your shop system.
- Choose Connect with an API key.
- Enter the details your shop asks for, such as the shop address and an API key, and click Test connection →. You create the API key in your shop's admin.
- Choose what to import and click Preview import →.
- Check how many records will be added, updated or skipped, and why.
- Click Import N records.
Conciar uses the key only for this import and doesn't store it.
Imported products aren't on any sales channel yet. See Products.
Scan your menu (restaurants)
No file? Take photos of your printed menu and let AI read it.
- Go to Settings → Import / move to Conciar and choose Scan your menu with AI.
- Add up to 8 photos (JPEG, PNG or WebP).
- Click Scan menu.
- Check the dishes and prices in the grid, fix what's wrong, and click Import N rows.
The scan uses your AI provider or AI credits. See Plan and billing.
Importing twice
You can run an import again. It doesn't create duplicates:
- Customers with the same email address are updated.
- Dishes, products, reservations, bookings and appointments that already exist are skipped. They're matched on name, SKU, or the guest and start time.
A second import doesn't change existing items
Importing a file with new prices doesn't update dishes or products that are already in Conciar. Change those in Conciar itself.
Common problems
A row says "Missing email". Customers need an email address. Add it in the grid, or leave the customer out.
Rows are skipped because of the date. Conciar couldn't read the date or time. Check the format in your file, for example 2026-11-14 19:30.
My platform isn't in the list. Choose Other platform / CSV template and use the example file.
My Excel file doesn't upload. Save it as CSV in Excel first.
I imported prices again but nothing changed. Existing dishes and products are skipped. Change the prices in your menu or products instead.
