Add products to your shop

Products are what you sell at the shop till and in your webshop. Each product has one price, a tax rule, optional variants such as size or colour, and its own stock.

Before you start

Set up your tax rules: one rule per VAT rate, for example 21% and 9%.

Create a product

1. In my.conciar.com, go to Store → Products and click Add Product.
2. Choose the Product Type: Physical, Digital or Bundle. You can't change the type later.
3. Fill in the tabs below and click Create Product.

Details

• Name and Description, per language.
• SKU, and barcodes (EAN-13, EAN-8 or UPC-A). Staff can scan these at the till.
• Active: whether customers can see the product.
• For physical products: weight and size, used for shipping.

Pricing

• Price, and optionally a Compare at Price and a Cost Price.
• Tax Rule: choose the rule for this product.

Always choose a tax rule

A product without a tax rule is charged without VAT. Don't leave Tax Rule empty.

You can also sell a product as a Subscription instead of a one-time purchase, under Billing Model.

Variants

For physical products, add variants such as sizes or colours. Each variant has its own name, SKU, price and barcode, and can be switched off or marked out of stock on its own.

Bundle Items

For a bundle, choose the products it contains and how many of each.

Channels

Tick the sales channels the product is sold through. Leave all unticked to hide it from every webshop. The star marks a product as Featured.

Track stock

Stock is set after you create the product.

1. Open the product and go to the Inventory tab.
2. Switch on Track inventory.
3. Click Adjust stock, enter the change and a reason, and click Apply.

The tab shows what's on hand, what's reserved by open webshop orders and what's available, per location, plus a list of every stock movement.

A product with no stock left shows Sold out on the till and can't be sold.

Price lists

A price list gives products a different price on certain sales channels, for example in your webshop. Set it up in Management → Price Lists, then add the prices on each product's Pricing tab. See Price lists.

Import products from another system

Settings → Import / move to Conciar imports products once, from a CSV file or from Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop or Shopware. Imported products aren't on any sales channel yet: tick their channels before they appear in your webshop.

Common problems

A product doesn't show at the till or in the webshop. Check that it's Active and has the right sales channels ticked.

A product shows Sold out. Its tracked stock is 0. Add stock on the Inventory tab.

I can't change a product from Physical to Bundle. The type can't be changed. Create a new product with the right type.
