Count your stock
A stocktake is a count of what's really there. When you're done, Conciar corrects the stock of every item you counted.
Start a stocktake
- In my.conciar.com, go to Inventory → Stocktakes and click New stocktake.
- Give it a name if you like, for example "Month-end count".
- Under Where are you counting?, choose All stock (every location together) or one location.
- Choose which Items to count (Everything, Products, Variants or Ingredients) and which Stock (Any level, Low stock or Out of stock).
- Click Start counting.
Count the items
On the stocktake you can count in two ways:
- Scan: scan a barcode or type a SKU in the scan box and press Enter. Each scan adds 1. A USB barcode scanner works without clicking the box first. Undo takes the last 1 off again.
- Type: enter the number in the Counted column.
An item you scan that isn't in the stocktake yet is added to it.
The Difference column shows counted minus expected. Use the filters Not counted and Different to check your work.
Several people can count at the same time, on different devices. Click Refresh to load their counts.
Counting on the shop till
On the shop till app, go to the store settings, then Stock → Stocktake. Pick an open stocktake and scan with the camera. You start and commit the stocktake in my.conciar.com.
Finish the stocktake
Click Commit and confirm. Conciar sets every counted item to what you counted.
- Items nobody counted are left alone. They are not set to zero. To record that something is gone, enter 0.
- Sales during the count are taken into account, so you can keep selling while you count.
- If you counted one location, only that location is corrected.
Click Cancel stocktake to stop without changing any stock.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Counting | Open. You can still count. |
| Committed | Done. The counted items were corrected. |
| Cancelled | Stopped. No stock was changed. |
Common problems
Commit is greyed out. Count at least one item first.
A scanned product is refused with a message about variants. The product's stock is kept per variant. Scan the variant's barcode instead.
I undid my scans and the item now shows as not counted. Undoing down to 0 means "not counted". If there really are none, type 0 in Counted.
