Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant

Connect Conciar to the AI assistant you already use, then ask it things like "How did last week compare?", "Who's booked in tonight?" or "What's running low?". The assistant looks the answer up in your Conciar figures instead of guessing.

The connection is read-only. The assistant can't change orders, prices, bookings or stock, can't take payments and never sees card details.

You need the admin or manager role. Each connection reads one business.

What you can ask

What the assistant can look up depends on your business:

BusinessWhat it can answer
RestaurantTakings, orders, guests and margin up to yesterday, compared with similar past days. Best and worst sellers, and which dishes earn the most. How busy the next days look, from bookings and the weather forecast. The bookings for one day, with guest names, tables and special requests. Which tables still have an open bill. With Staff planning, a suggested rota for a week (see Suggest a rota).
Stock tracking, any businessHow much of something is left, what's low or out of stock, and what will run out in the coming days.

If your business has neither, the assistant has nothing to look up yet.

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.

  2. Enter Conciar as the name and this address as the URL:

    https://api.conciar.com/mcp/v1
  3. Click Add, then Connect. A Conciar sign-in page opens.

  4. Sign in with the email and password you use for my.conciar.com. If you have two-factor sign-in on, enter your code.

  5. If you manage more than one business, choose the business this connection is for.

  6. Click Allow. You're sent back to Claude.

Now ask a question about your business.

Connect ChatGPT or another assistant

In ChatGPT, add a custom connector in its settings with the same address, https://api.conciar.com/mcp/v1, then sign in and click Allow as above.

Claude Code and other apps on your computer that connect over MCP work too. For Claude Code:

bash
claude mcp add --transport http conciar https://api.conciar.com/mcp/v1

Other assistants that run in a web browser can't connect yet. Whether you can add custom connectors at all depends on the assistant and your plan with it.

What the assistant gets to see

The assistant only gets the answers to what it asks, and only for the business you chose. Booking answers include guest names and special requests, so that information goes to the company behind the assistant. Check that its terms suit your business before you connect.

Everyone connects with their own account. If someone's role changes to employee or their access to your business is turned off, their assistant stops working too.

Disconnect an assistant

  1. In my.conciar.com, go to Settings → Security.
  2. Under Logged-in devices, find the assistant by its name, for example Claude.
  3. Click Sign out.

You can also remove the connector in the assistant itself. To connect it to a different business, disconnect it and connect again.

Common problems

"Only an admin or manager of a business can connect an AI assistant." Your account has the employee role. Ask an admin to change your role in Team members, or let a manager connect.

The assistant says it can't find any Conciar tools. Your business has no restaurant and no stock tracking yet, so there's nothing to look up.

The assistant asks you to connect again. A connection that hasn't been used for 30 days expires. Click Connect again and sign in.

The assistant has no takings for today. Takings are worked out every morning for the day before, so today's takings show up tomorrow. Bookings, open bills and stock are always up to date.
